Diane was formerly Director of Compliance at SGH Martineau (now Shakespeare Martineau). Her responsibilities extended to the operation of the firm's anti-money laundering programme and quality systems under ISO9001, as well as risk management and business continuity planning.
Diane studied law at University College, London and Clare College, Cambridge. After attending the College of Law at Guildford she undertook her training contract at Ryland Martineau, specialising in corporate and commercial work on admission. Subsequently she taught intellectual property and competition law at the University of Birmingham, before re-joining Martineau Johnson (as it had then become) in 1991 to establish a human resources and training department. She was Director of Human Resources and Compliance until 2012 when she then focused solely on compliance management.

An experienced legal practice manager for the last 22 years with a particular interest in the development of legal firms, Tim has 11 years experience as a Lexcel assessor / adviser, is a LSC SQM & GQM Auditor, based upon a background in Industry and the Royal Navy.
Tim is the Administrator for 2 solicitor groups: Solent Solicitors Group and Solent Conveyancing Lawyers.
Tim has considerable experience as an Investors in People Assessor. He has undertaken training in the Business Excellence model (BEM) standard and Investors in Excellence (IIE).
He will be undertaking CQS Assessments for the Law Society from late 2012.

Chantal has significant experience of working with legal practices and standards. With over 10 years at the Law Society she has provided advice and guidance on the implementation of Lexcel to solicitors, assessors and consultants. Chantal managed a portfolio of over 700 practices while at the Law Society.
Chantal has significant experience of developing and delivering training courses to assist practices with understanding and implementing Lexcel. She has also developed and trained Lexcel assessors and consultants. She was part of a team that advised and trained the Law Society of Singapore in preparation for the launch of PrimeLaw, the Singaporean practice management standard that has its origins in Lexcel.
She has also worked with the Solicitors Regulation Authority to identify how Lexcel and the Code of Conduct interlink and impact on practices.
Chantal has project-managed revisions to the Lexcel standard, significantly contributing to the drafting of the standard and guidance.
She monitored numerous assessments to evaluate assessors performances which has given Chantal an excellent insight into the evidence assessor require during assessments.
She has a special interest in risk management and was the inaugural chairperson of the Institute of Risk Management Legal Special Interest Group.
